Exhaust welding in your driveway, not at a shop
That rattle under the truck is usually a hanger that snapped off the pipe. Searching exhaust welding near me gets you a list of muffler shops and a morning in a waiting room. We come to the driveway, weld the hanger back on, and you are done.
Cracked pipes, broken flanges, clamps that will not hold, a bracket off the heat shield: mild steel exhaust work, done at your place in the Capital Region within 24 to 48 hours.
What breaks on exhaust
- Hangers that rust and snap off the pipe
- Cracks at the weld where the pipe meets the muffler or the flange
- Flanges broken or rusted so the bolts have nothing to hold
- Clamped joints that leak no matter how tight
- Heat shield brackets rattling loose
- Trailer and equipment exhaust on generators and small engines
How we fix exhaust on site
We get under it with a creeper and a light, grind the rust back to clean steel, and weld the hanger or the crack. A clamp that keeps leaking gets welded into a solid joint. A rusted flange gets a new one welded on when there is enough pipe to work with.
What we do not do: catalytic converters, anything that changes emissions equipment, and full exhaust replacement. If the pipe is rusted thin end to end there is nothing to weld to, and we will tell you that from the photo so you do not pay for a trip.
Cars and trucks, work vans, plow trucks, trailers with generators, mowers and skid steers. Mild steel exhaust is mild steel exhaust.
